About
Biography…
Kevogo Yavetsi was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1993, and continues to live there. When he was about 9 years old, he discovered he had a passion for art through his early sketches of superhero characters such as Spiderman, Batman, and Superman. However, as a child, Kevogo had no plans to pursue a career in the arts. “All I wanted to be was a pilot, and drawing was a way for me to pass the time.” But his interest in a career in pilot faded after finishing his high school diploma because of the fact that his passion for art kept calling him.
He later enrolled for a diploma in art and design from the Buruburu Institute of Fine Art to sharpen his skill set, from which he graduated in 2017.
Some of the wildlife artists that also inspired Kevogo towards pursuing art as a career included John Banovich, Pip Mcgarry, Alan M Hunt, and fellow countryman Peter Blackwell.
Today, Kevogo is a full-time artist who advocates for wildlife conservation through his subject paintings, which are primarily the endangered wild animals found in Africa. His painting style is primarily realism with careful attention to both details and depth, and any piece of art purchased from Kevogo will undoubtedly contribute to his advocacy and education of African wildlife conservation.
Kevogo does not reprint or print any of his previous works. He ONLY SELLS ORIGINAL WORKS and to purchase any of his artwork or request a commission, kindly contact him directly at info@kevogoyavetsi.com
